It's that time of year and applications continue to pour in. Now that SRU has an online application for undergraduate international students it has never been easier to apply!
With a rolling admission process, international students are invited to submit their applications to Slippery Rock University up until the specified deadlines for the term they wish to begin their studies. We recommend that fall (August) applicants submit materials by May 1 and spring (January) applicants by October 1. Upon receipt of a student's application materials I will review the application and notify them with either requests for more information or provide a final decision.
Throughout the application process I make it a point to remain in contact by providing timely emails with updates on the status of the application and answering any questions students may have related to admissions and much more!
Final decisions are often made within a week of receiving all additional application materials (e.g., academic transcripts, examination results, English language proficiency results, and financial verification).
Upon request, I will review an application to determine if a student is eligible for conditional admission on the basis of academics and issue a letter they can use to secure financial support or attend an English language center in the United States.
When an official offer is made students receive an email letting them know they've been accepted; CONGRATULATIONS!
In this email students have the option to accept the offer and pay the advance enrollment deposit using peerTransfer (if payment is coming from outside the United States). The sooner the enrollment deposit is paid the more likely the student will be assigned their housing preference.
Finally, we recommend students submit applications early so that they have ample time to setup their student visa interview; whether it is for an F-1 or J-1 visa. CLICK HERE for more information about visa wait times.
